"Straight" leg jeans.

Okay. So maybe I purchased some "straight" leg jeans....that some might consider to be somewhat tapered. Sick, huh. I'm pretty disgusted with myself to be honest....BUT in my defense...they're not bad (that sounds like an oxymoron...let me explain).
See, I've thought that since the 80s I'd never go back to anything that could even have the possibility of appearing to be tapered. And especially when they started making a comeback I adamantly REFUSED to even consider the possibility that these might be "in fashion." All I remember are the 80s wash ankle-length pant that could be worn with slouched alternating color socks. But when the skinny pant started coming back in the 2000s...I realized that they weren't the same. The pants i bought go well below my ankle, onto my foot. So really, one can hardly say that they're tapered jeans. Also, they're a great wash. And the advantage of a little bit "straighter" leg is that if you're wearing a longer top, you don't look like a balloon or a big bubble that is the same size all the way down!
Hmmm, i'm feeling slightly better. The best part though....they were only $20!!! Any consolations for me?? Anyone?
Signed,

I love it, Jane!! Especially the ending . . . confessions of a tapered jeans wearer. Very clever! These are cute jeans . . . and a good wash as well! Don't you love anything that helps you feel cute? Enjoy them!

The other day I decided I might need to buy some larger size jeans to wear after I had this baby. So I was searching the clearance rack at the Gap. And here I am weighing 170 and 9 months pregnant and the shop girl recommended that I try the Long and Lean style. I assured her that those were not the fit for me. And then I opted for completely straight leg trouser jeans that look really comfy. I really can't see myself going for the tapered look again but I think you could pull it off Janey. Maybe I should teach Hannah how to peg her pants and layer her socks. I bet she'd think I was soo cool. :)

At first, "dork" came to mind...but then I realized that our dorkiness level is quite similar. Second, I think those jeans would look great on you, and if you like them then that's what counts! And it's hard to beat $20 for a good pair of jeans...Wait, you're in Arizona now, aren't you??

I think they are hot! Plus, this way they can tuck easily into a pair of boots, which is a very good look. You stylish woman!
