I have to admit, I cried when he broke up with Bevin. Just because it's so hard for her, and he was so sad. But I also teared up when Tessa and Andy got engaged, because I was just so thrilled for them! More to come.

The 'stache....or....the time when my BF looked like a redneck

Seth got to grow a mustache for the Georgetown law finals Mustache competition...and here it is!

Haha, I just have to laugh. I think I might just be going off Carol's redneck theme here, because I'm not into facial hair necessarily. I guess when I know it's all for a competition I'm all for it! I told seth I'd pay him 100 dollars if he'd wear it to church with a bolo tie, but he was teaching sunday school and didn't want to detract from the spirit...boo!

I hope none of you think less of me for kissing my boyfriend with a 'stache on my blog...it's the best of our pictures.

Tessa and The Bachelor

I have been hesitant to blog on this topic for fear of ridicule, but Noelle finally did, so I decided I could do the same!

I love the Bachelor. It's adorable this season. Mostly, I love the bachelor because of Tessa. Tessa is the real thing...she's hesitant about a relationship with someone she doesn't know, she's afraid to get her heart hurt, she approaches relationships with caution, and she's not entirely sure of herself...even though she's georgeous. She also is FUN, easy going, and ready for adventure, and she has her head on straight! When all the girls were catty and mean, Tessa withdrew and avoided the conflict (lucky girl). All the girls like her because she's not fake to them, and she doesn't try to join the conflict and jealousy.

Andy is so good with Tessa. While it's becoming clear that Andy and Bevin are getting closer and closer to being the "real couple," my heart is still with Andy and Tessa. He has given her the rose first all but one night. Why? Because he wants her to feel assured. When he has a chance for the most amazing one on one date? He picks her. Why? Because he wants to spend the quality time with her, getting to know her, and having fun and playing.

We were a little disappointed in Tessas family for being so hard on Andy, but that's only because they love Tessa and want her to be happy. They ended up playing it right, because after they questioned motive and intention, they showed an increase of love for Andy....and that was that. Andy may have felt more comfortable around Bevin's family, but let's face it. Bevin is divorced, and she's uber competitive and kind of jealous. And when she sprained her ankle, she was kind of embarrassing...and she likes to steal attention. I don't love that. I'm sure there are some good qualities about Bevin, but mostly her name is just a boy's name and she's a little not-my style.

Tessa is classy. Her outfits are classy. She's not out to prove anything. She's sweet, she's pretty, and she's loads of fun. If I were a boy and she were a mormon, I'd want to date her.

Three cheers for Tessa!

"The Mormons" in 100 words

I was uber disappointed in the PBS special. I read on the LDS Newsroom that they were accepting comments in 100 words or less from those who watched...so this is what I said:

"The Mormons" was a failed attempt at logical analysis of the LDS church and its practices. The music, picture, and contributor choices left much to be desired, and were stacked and skewed to a secular and non-Mormon viewpoint. The time spent on discreditable topics overpowered the spirit, truth, and goodness of the Mormon faith. Opinion was stated as fact, even after concession of absent evidence, and often fact was misrepresented to the bias of the contributor. The voices of the LDS Prophet, Apostles, and Seventy were the saving grace to an otherwise inaccurate and displeasing depiction of the LDS church.

So there it is. 100 words exactly. I could elaborate, but instead I'll just direct attention to Pres. Hinckley's full interview comments, which I loved! I love the spirit and peace that our prophet, apostles, and seventy bring! I also really loved Elder Holland's Comments on the Book of Mormon. They had such great clarification and insight.

The Church is True!

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.
