We're getting married in the Bountiful Temple on July 12, 2008, in the afternoon.
Many have asked "Why Bountiful?" and um......that's a really great question? We just decided on it. My parents have lived in Nauvoo for the past year and a half, but they recently moved to Eaglewood (right by Bountiful) and my dad is now a Sealer in the Bountiful Temple. While he technically could seal us in any temple, as Seth and I were discussing wedding locations we just thought that Utah will be central to many of our family members and we think the Bountiful Temple is beautiful, so I think we both just kind of said "Why not?" and that was that!
I'm really excited to be getting married there. My grandma Ruth worked in the Bountiful temple, and I remember when I was little going through the Bountiful Temple open house and just loving every minute of it. It was also the first temple I did family baptisms in, so it has family and Grandma Ruth significance :) Seth....well, he's never been there, so it'll be a new and a "first" memory for us together!
Other details....are still in the works. We're almost solid on a place for the after temple festivities (what those necessarily are will be decided in the next few days) and we'll in all likelihood have a reception in Arizona either in late July or early August. Sigh. So many more decisions to make....
Sigh again. So much for this not being overtaken by wedding plans....I'll try to keep the rest on the wedding blog :)

Hi Jane! It's been a LONG time since I've talked to you, but I randomly came across your blog -- congratulations on your engagement! I'm very excited for you. Brian and I got married July 14th in the Bountiful Temple -- so your wedding date/location is very similar to our's, just one year later. Good luck with everything and I'd love to stay posted on what's going on. Congrats again!
I'm excited for you guys. I will be at girls camp that whole week in Houston (a meager 3.5 hours away from where our ward actually lives) in the sweltering Texas heat- so just know I'll be thinking of you guys and wishing I could have come!!! I didn't know your Dad was a sealer now, that is so so cool. HOpe planning is going well. Let me know if you want any Sugar City addresses that you don't have from a Stake Directory or something. I have tons saved from announcements for my wedding.

Wow! That will be so beautiful! You should make one of those count down thingys till july 12th on your blog. Oh I my visiting teaching partner Amy Gietz knows you from DC..don't know her maiden name though.
Great temple! The Bountiful temple is the first temple I went through (at the open-house) when I was in college, or was it high school? I forget. Anyhoo, that is neat your dad is a sealer and that he can marry you!!!
