Guacamole!

We thought since Ryan liked his bananas so much, and survived them for a week, that we would see how he felt about avocados! Result: not as good as bananas! The first bite he sat with his mouth open, guac all over his tongue, just staring at us with a look of "why in the world did you just give me this mush?"

After a minute, he closed his mouth and swallowed, as if somehow it might all go away. Kind of like how we used to plug our noses, stick the green beans from school lunch in our mouth, and chug them down with milk without chewing them. And then we gagged a little bit. Ryan is just getting practice for school lunch.

Ironically, Ryan LOVES when people speak Spanish to him, but apparently no le gusta el guacamole!

This is what happens...

when the baby grows too fast for his own pants! (or in this case, PJs)

You can guess who got Ryan ready for bed! (and I'm super grateful for that...gave me a good laugh!)

Snapea Crisps: A review

Delicious!

They are not as "healthy" as you would think...which is a bummer. But better than Potato chips, cookies, or ice cream (my recent favorites snacks...)! Yummy on a salad (lunch today!) and yummy as a 4 PM munch. :)

Sunday

Just because we love him.

Baby Scooter

Ready....

Set...

GO!

This kid is rearing to go! If we can keep him distracted from the fact that he's on his belly long enough, he'll be crawling in no time!

Ballgame!

This weekend we drove down to San Diego to meet the Reeds for a Padres Game!

Ryan wasn't sure how he felt about it at first, but he gradually got used to the loud noises and even slept through a few innings! I enjoyed my burger and the good company...and I watched the last out (and asked Carol how you could tell whether the umpire called a strike or a ball...oops! ha)

A few highlights:

--Seeing Cousins play with Cousins. Brandon and Christi were so cute with Ryan!
--Ruby's Diner Burger. Mmm Yum (I was a hungry girl!)
--Having Ryan fall asleep all snuggled up for a few innings.
--Great conversation!
--They sang the Mexican National Anthem at the beginning! I asked Carol if we'd crossed over the border or if they just moved it last week. Apparently Mexico is all about Baseball these days! Nothing like culture and baseball.

Thanks for the FUN Ballgame night, Reeds!

Go Bananas!

On a whim, we decided to let Ryan have some big kid food last night. It was so fun to watch him! This morning it was almost just as fun to watch him watch the video as I uploaded it. He was grabbing for the screen and flapped his arms when he ate his bananas on the video. I think we'll try it again!

I don't condone violence...

But this is pretty adorable.

Bouncing Baby!

Ryan loves a good bounce, whether it's to lull him to sleep or to play tigger.

However...too much bouncing sometimes leads to this:

Awhhhh to Sleep

I love Ryan's noises. All of them. Except for his scared cry, and his nervous cry, and his choke cry. But we can usually turn his cries into laughter anyway, and I love his laugh.

So you might wonder why I'm posting a billion videos today? Because you just can't know ryan if you don't know his noises. So...I thought I'd show you!

This particular noise is the noise he makes in the car when he's just about to fall asleep. It's kind of his sleeping soundtrack. If he doesn't eat to fall asleep he makes this noise too, and there's nothing that's sweeter than rocking a baby who's awwwwh-ing to sleep. Love my baby!
